Hello. My name is
Aaron, I'm a twenty-four year old Graphic Designer from
Norwich. Welcome to my microsite where you'll learn a bit about who I am, what I do and what I've done. A little tip for you... there are hidden links to secret photographs within this text, see if you can find them all.

I find various ways to inspire myself, keep up to date with what's going on, but I think being on my own and listening to Super Furry Animals is the perfect way to think of new projects. I love documentation. Remembering moments of life that will be forever tatooed within your mind, both good and bad, as these memories help us become the person we are today.

Lincoln was my adopted home for 3 years whilst I completed a Degree in Interactive & Screen Based Graphics. During this time we learnt various techniques of how to create and produce eye-catching graphics for various formats. If I'm honest, it was the best 3 three years of my life thus far. I had a chance to develop as a person, learn about an industry I love and meet friends who I hope to be in touch with for the rest of my days.

After my years as a student, I moved to London for a year to further my career in Design. During this time I worked on a number of freelance projects for various clients in and around London. These included Website Design, Brand Identity and Flyer designs. All these projects were short term contracts in which I completed the work to a deadline specified by the client. I'm also currently maintaining the websites as and when the client requires changes.

I left London in June 2008 and moved back to my home city of Norwich. Shortly after I moved back I began working as a video assistant on a feature film whilst shooting on location. My role was to control the playback monitors for the director and various other members of the crew. This was 4-5 weeks work that consisted of night shoots (seriously, sleeping during the day in July is rather hard). This was a real eye opener for me as I got first hand experience of how films are shot and the effort people go to, to get the perfect shot.

Shortly after I began work on another project which involved working alongside 2 under priviledged school children and their mentor, producing two 5 minute long documentaries with a budget of £500 each. My role in all of this was to help film both documentaries, help the 2 children work on ideas and develop their skills, as well produce the final edit ready for tv.

In January 2009 I moved to Salisbury, Wiltshire to begin my role as a full time Graphic & Web Designer. Since I've been here I've learnt some valuable techniques of how a design business really works. This being liasing with clients on a day to day basis, producing print work that will later appear in magazines, plouging my way through the basics in Quark 8.0 and days on end writing HTML. Low and behold, I've even still found time to update this website with various projects I've been doing.
